The Eppendorf 6331 Flexlid Mastercycler Nexus Thermal Cycler provides scientists with flexibility in many forms. The 96 well aluminium block can accomodate several standard vessels types from 0.2 mL tubes to 96 well plates, there is no need to buy additional blocks.

The silver block variants provide faster ramp rates than the aluminum blocks. Up to 2 eco cyclers can be connected to a programmable cycler and the configuration can also include the nexus X2 eco units, to provide a maximum of 6 independent blocks. The flexlid provides effortless height adjustment for different vessels. The Mastercycler Nexus cycler can even email you when the PCR run is complete – what else do you need from a PCR cycler?

Flexlid Concept

Due to the flexlid concept, the cycler can deal with all types of PCR consumables, from low volume all the way up to 0.5 mL PCR tubes. Of course, all common PCR plates fit – and if your throughput becomes even higher, you can just connect one or two Mastercycler nexus eco to your Mastercycler nexus

Gradient with SteadySlope technology

The Eppendorf 6331 Flexlid Mastercycler Nexus Thermal Cycler option of the Mastercycler pro features the SteadySlope technology to ensure that the heating and cooling ramp rates are identical in both gradient and normal operation. Thus, you can expect identical temperature control characteristics in both optimization and routine experiments. Programming the gradient with the Control Panel and the CycleManager pro is easy and intuitive – so that novice users can get started quickly and safely.

The Eppendorf 6331 simplifies PCR temperature testing, greatly speeding up the process by performing tests across a gradient temperature. The gradient function of this thermal cycler allows for a gradient difference of 1° to 20°C across the block, so multiple samples at different temperatures can be completed in just one run. Other features include the flexlid concept, intuitive graphic programming, protocol library for ease of use, and booking schedule that acts as screensaver. The MasterCycler also offers the ability to connect up to two MasterCycler Nexus units for easy expansion.

The Eppendorf 6331 Flexlid Mastercycler Nexus Thermal Cycler can accommodate 96-well PCR plates, 0.2 mL PCR tubes, 0.2 mL PCR tube strips and 0.5 mL PCR tubes.
